BSI Congress Programme Committee

The primary focus of the Programme Committee is to help create and monitor the BSI meetings and events programme, focussing on the scientific aspects of the programme in particular.
The Committee has a number of primary objectives, these being to:

  • review, comment and approve BSI’s special one-off regional meetings (funded by the special group scheme)
  • review, comment on and approve the BSI’s public engagement and education programme
  • identify any subjects relevant to the BSI’s membership which are not being covered in the meetings programme and, if necessary, approve the organisation of a meeting to cover this
  • approve the scientific programme for the BSI Congress
The programme committee meets at least 4 times a year and members are appointed for a three-year period.
