Public Engagement

Welcome to the new BSI public engagement section of our website. The BSI’s public engagement activities seek to raise awareness and understanding of the role of immunology in our lives. We work with individuals of all ages and backgrounds around the country exploring the impact of immunology on us as individuals and in our wider society.
The Society is committed to supporting our members to engage with the public by providing resources, volunteer opportunities and ‘Communicating Immunology’ grants.
Here, you will find information about upcoming BSI public events, reports of past events organised by ourselves and our members, as well as a host of resources and useful links for finding out more about engaging the public with immunology.
The BSI public engagement team are always keen to hear from you. To get in touch, please contact either Jennie Evans at or Jamie Harris at
